Poorly edited manuscripts are the Number

One complaint on all e-publishing sites.

Typos, misspellings, poor punctuation,

choked sentences?

You may not see them, but I will.

Your book is your baby. I get it. I am ruthless with editing compositional errors and respectful of individual voice and style. Whether you intend to pitch an agent, a traditional publisher or go directly to the reader through e-publishing, your writing - not your mistakes - should be what people notice. A clean, edited manuscript is the sign of a professional and the key to sales.

    Nice things clients have said...

Jenny is, quite simply, the last step in my writing process. Her insight, knowledge, speed and professionalism are critical to a professional  submission to all editors and as a digital product for readers. I couldn't live without her!

Jenny Jensen's editing services were right on the mark for us. With her background in advertising, her facility for choosing just the right words, and her skill for seeing the whole picture we were able to have all the pieces holistically edited and we got the good grammar and singular voice we were looking for - through 2 editions!. I happily recommend her services to all authors.

I was truly blessed to have found Jenny to serve as my editor. After repeatedly reading my manuscripts, I was confident that I had caught most of the errors and inconsistencies. I even had a few ardent readers review my manuscripts before turning them over to Jenny. Despite all this pains-taking review process, Jenny still found a number of errors, omissions and inconsistencies. In the end, she didn't miss anything. There was never anything debatable in her comments - I have to admit she was always right.
Jenny's editing has been truly invaluable. I would have been embarrassed without her reviews. Her method of editing the digital manuscript is clean & efficient. In addition to edits, she has often offered insightful comments which enhanced and clarified my stories.
I highly recommend Jenny's editing service for any writer, whether a beginner or a seasoned author. Whatever I may write in the future, I know it will be edited by Jenny.

The words that accompany the photography in my books come from my heart.  Expressing the complexities of my art with a pen instead of a camera, can get muddy for me. I'm so glad I can rely on Jenny to make my words grammatical, sensible and pleasurable to read, while leaving intact the essence of my feelings about my art. She never fails me. I wouldn't go to my publisher without her. We'll be working on the next Burning Man book soon Jenny.  Don't you go anywhere!

Why be concerned with punctuation?
An English professor wrote this phrase on the blackboard:
"A woman without her man is nothing"
and asked his students to punctuate it correctly.
All of the males in the class wrote:
"A woman, without her man, is nothing."
All of the females in the class wrote:
"A woman: without her, man is nothing."

Ah, the power of punctuation.
